Company Overview
Saye Home Decor is a unique venture under the Saye Company umbrella, dedicated to transforming spaces and lives through locally crafted home decor items while aligning with the core values and mission of Saye Company. Our business model is designed to address multiple social challenges, including unemployment among youth, period poverty, and menstrual stigma, all while contributing to environmental sustainability.
Since its inception in 2017, the organization has impacted more than 12,313 adolescents and aims to live in a world where there are no more increased rates of teenage pregnancies and menstruation stigma.
Our Mission
Our mission is to craft high-quality, locally made home decoration items with a touch of customization, affordability, and environmental responsibility. We achieve this by transforming discarded materials into exquisite treasures, all sourced from the rich palette of Rwandan markets.
Our Vision
Become a preferred choice for homeowners seeking distinctive, high-quality home decor that reflects their unique style and personality
Empowering Teenage Mothers Through Climate Action
At SAYE Company Ltd, we believe that addressing teenage pregnancy requires tackling its root causes, especially poverty and limited economic opportunities.
Our approach is simple but powerful:
we empower teenage mothers to become climate change advocates while building sustainable livelihoods.
We equip teenage mothers with practical, income-generating skills by training them to locally manufacture eco-friendly home decoration products.
Using recycled materials such as plastic bottles, fabrics, and other waste, they create:
Wall decorations
Table stands
Outdoor décor items
This not only reduces environmental pollution but also:
Promotes sustainable living
Replaces imported, plastic-based décor products
Creates local, green income opportunities
Are not Imported, reusable and not harmful to the environment
By shifting to locally made, eco-friendly alternatives, we:
Reduce plastic waste
Support circular economy practices
Empower young mothers to become financially independent
Beyond economic empowerment, we invest in education and mindset change.
Through our Ecofeminism Training Programs in schools, we educate students on:
The connection between climate change and gender inequality
How environmental challenges disproportionately affect women and girls
The role of youth, including boys and men, in building sustainable communities
Our trainings go beyond theory. They inspire action, creativity, and community solutions.
Educated 60+ students on ecofeminism and climate action
Reached 200+ additional students through expanded school programs
Transformed waste into valuable, income-generating products
Strengthened community awareness on sustainability and gender equality
